Structure overview of PFC
For safety-related applications for personal protection at machines, e.g. in
case of gravity-loaded axes in press applications, the self-contained servo-
hydraulic linear axis is available in a safety-capable variant. It is extended by
additional components in the hydraulic and electrical system, that is, the
scope of delivery is extended by electrical operating equipment.
The control manifold of the self-contained servo-hydraulic linear axis is provi‐
ded with two redundant valves, each with separate position monitoring func‐
tion, in the line to chamber A2.
In option slot 3, the control section is fitted with an optional S4 card for the
drive-integrated safety technology "Safe Motion".
The scope of delivery is extended by a control unit for inductive loads,
HAT02.1.
If the safety function is to be selected purely digitally at the customer's end,
i.e. not via a safe field bus, the scope of delivery additionally includes the
safety zone module HSZ01.
The self-contained servo-hydraulic linear axis is a safety-related
sub-system within a safe machine. The responsibility for furnish‐
ing proof of and certifying the safety functions of the complete
machine lies with the machine manufacturer. The characteristic
safety values of different safety functions that are required for a
general assessment can be found in the technical data sheet of
the self-contained servo-hydraulic linear axis.
