WARNING
Unless otherwise explicitly stipulated, ensure that during maintenance
work the self-contained servo-hydraulic linear axis is in a state in which
no uncontrolled machine movement can occur.
If used according to the intended purpose, the self-contained servo-hydraulic
linear axis and the drive controller require little maintenance.
To ensure that the self-contained servo-hydraulic linear axis functions reliably
for a long time, Bosch Rexroth advises to check the self-contained servo-hy‐
draulic linear axis regularly. The time intervals mainly depend on the ope‐
rating conditions and the external environmental conditions (e.g. dirt, temper‐
ature, vibration). The individual maintenance steps are described in the next
chapter.
What?
Remove dust accumulation
Visual inspection
Remove possible contamina‐
linear
tion and leakage.
Watch out for any leakage.
Check the mounting ele‐
ments and fittings for tight
seat.
Visual inspection
Visual inspection, functional
testing
Check for generation of noise

Uncontrolled machine movements!
Risk of injury due to maintenance work on an
activated system.
Comments
In order to avoid electrostatic charging, clean
the electrical components only by means of a
damp cloth.
When detecting any leakage, immediately in‐
form Bosch Rexroth.
In the long run, leakage may result in standstill
of the self-contained servo-hydraulic linear axis.
All mounting elements and fittings must be
checked when the system is switched off, dep‐
ressurized and has cooled down.
In case of damage or visible signs of aging,
have them replaced without delay. Ensure cor‐
rect fastening. Do not replace components dur‐
ing operation.
If the visual clogging indicator at a filter re‐
sponds, the filter element is exhausted and
must be replaced.
Check the actuator unit for the generation of
noise. The generation of noise or an increase in
the noise level can indicate a possible failure of
one or several components at an early time and
help avoid consequential damage.
