First Time Installation
Please read instructions carefully before installation.
Check the contents of kit. Contact your Prorack dealer if any parts appear to be missing or damaged.
Clean your roof racks and cargo basket prior to fi tting the Gas Bottle Restraint.
Important Warning
It is critical that all Prorack racks and accessories be properly and securely attached to your vehicle. Improper
attachment could result in an automobile accident, and could cause serious bodily injury or death to you or to others.
You are responsible for securing the racks and accessories to your car, checking the attachments prior to use, and
periodically inspecting the products for adjustment, wear, and damage.
If you do not understand all of the instructions and cautions, or if you have no mechanical experience and are not
thoroughly familiar with the installation procedures, you should have the product installed by a professional installer
such as a roof rack specialist.

  • Page 2 Installation For Heavy Duty Cargo Trays Important! Fit to a centrally located inner slat, not to outer slats. Position the Restraint Mount underneath the chosen inner tray slat. Line up the M8 Channel Nut on the underside channel of the Restraint Mount with the smaller inboard hole. Install Restraint Clamp onto outside ridge of the chosen inner tray slat and secure to Restraint Mount with M8 Washer, M8 Spring Washer and M8 Set Screw.
  • Page 3 Installation for Baskets on Prorack Heavy Duty, Trade and other Heavy Duty Crossbars Insert two M10 Spring Nuts into the crossbar Load the 4 kg gas bottle onto the channel on either side of the gas bottle. It is basket and centered over a crossbar.
  • Page 4 Installation for Baskets on Prorack Aero and International T-Slot Crossbars Load the 4 kg gas bottle onto the Remove leg cover or end cap. Push rubber basket and centered over a crossbar. infi ll down and slide two M10 Square Nuts into the crossbar channel on either side of the gas bottle.
  • Page 5 Ratcheting strap must not be used for lifting. Protect from abrasion and friction. Do not tie knots in the straps.
