Verify show on disk

The Verify show on disk option compares a show that is recorded on disk with
the show in memory . The PSC indicates if the shows are identical or not .
You may want to use this option to verify that your disk is not damaged and that
your show was copied to disk without any errors . You might also use it to
compare backup copies of a show with the current version in memory.
When using the verify option, any fades being executed are interrupted; fades
resume when read is complete . To compare a show recorded on disk with the
show in memory, follow these steps:

Insert disk in disk drive.

Press [Set Up] .
Select 3, Verify show on disk, and press [Enter] . The PSC displays the

screen illustrated below:
If either show one or two is currently recorded on disk, the screen displays
the message, Recorded and the date the show was recorded . If no show
is recorded on disk, the PSC displays the message, Not recorded.
Select either show one or two and press [Enter] . The PSC compares the

show you selected from disk with the show in memory .
If show on disk matches show in memory, the PSC displays the message,
Show on disk matches system memory .
If you receive the Verify failed message, you may have any of the follow-
ing problems:
Retry recording or reading show if you receive this message . If it recurs,
try a new disk. The message Configurations differ, cannot verify indi-
cates one the following:
Show on disk is not the same as show in memory.
Disk is damaged.
Console did not record show to disk correctly.
Show on disk was saved on a different type of ETC console or a
different software version.
Show on disk has different system settings (such as softpatch,
numbers of dimmers and channels) than show in console.
