Caution!
During all assembly work:
Turn off engine
Pull spark plug connector
Wear protective gloves
Guide bar and saw chain
1.
Release chain brake. Pull hand guard in the
direction of the front handle (G).
2.
Loosen the guard bar clamp nuts (B/1) with the
supplied screwdriver/combination key.
3.
Take away the sprocket cover.
4.
Place guide bar on both guide bolts (C/1) and
shove in the direction of the chain sprocket
(C/2).
5.
Guide the saw chain around the sprocket nose of
the guide bar (D/1) and insert into the groove of
the guide bar. Then pull the saw chain lightly in
the direction of the arrow (D/2).
Observe the direction of movement of the
saw chain (E).
The cutting of the saw teeth on the upper side of the
guide bar point in the direction of the blade points.
6.
Direct the saw chain over the chain catcher.
The saw chain hangs through somewhat on the
underside of the guide bar.

The device many only be operated after complete
assembly.
Controlling the chain tension
Control chain tension frequently.
The saw chain is tensioned correctly when it:
Lies on the underside of the guide bar
Allow it to raise about 3 - 4 mm in the middle of
the guide bar.
Allow it to be pulled through lightly by hand
At operating temperature, the saw chain elongates and
hangs through.

Guide bar cover
Install sprocket cover. Make sure that the chain
tensioning hook latches in the guide bar. Where
necessary, pull the guide bar forward until the
hook latches.
Twist on guard bar clamp nuts hand tight.
To control the saw chain, pull through somewhat
by hand, so that these lie correctly on the chain
sprocket and in the guide bar.
Turn chain tensioning screw to the right until the
saw chan fits on the bar underside (F).
Turn bar clamp nuts securely.
