A rising edge on digital input 4 triggers execution of motion segment 3,
as defined in Object 2F93h.
Exercise – Object 2FC8h = 0: Binary Value of Selected Inputs Triggers a
Predefined Motion
If the value of object 2FC8h=0 (input binary value triggers motion), the
combined binary value of three inputs determines the predefined motion
segment to be executed.
A rising edge on a fourth digital input triggers the motion according to the binary
value of three inputs.
Up to eight motion segments (0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7) can be controlled this
way.

In this exercise, the combined binary value of inputs 1, 2 and 3 will trigger
different motion segments of varying speed.
1.
Make sure the drive is disabled, and the drive is communicating (online)
with ServoStudio.
2.
Make sure all input switches on the Demo kit are in the Off position.
3.
In the ServoStudio Drive Objects table, set the value of object 2FC8h to 0.
4.
Select the Motion screen, and then set the CAN Operation mode to
3-Profile Velocity.
5.
Select the I/Os screen, and then assign the four digital inputs to the four
motion segments, as shown below.
6.
In the Drive Objects table, disable and re-enable the option Update all
objects.
