6 - MAINTENANCE

6.2 Extraordinary maintenance

6.2.1 General

Before any maintenance operation:
Disconnect the compressed air hose.
WARNING!
Any extraordinary maintenance operation shall be performed in a CAMPAGNOLA S.r.l. Authorised Service Point.

6.2.2 Cleaning the handle valve (28)

Unscrew the valve tap.
Remove the valve softly.
Check the seal and replace it even if only slightly worn out.
Blow compressed air onto the stem and seat of the valve, then assemble it again by following the operations in reverse.
6.2.3 Replacing the piston (14) seals (17) and shock absorbers (21)
Loosen the screws (10) that secure the oscillator (11) guard.
Unscrew the self-locking nut (9).
Use a 4 mm Allen wrench to unscrew the piston (14) from the oscillator (8).
Loosen the 4 screws (16) that secure the rake support to the body.
Remove the piston (14) and replace the seals (16) or shock absorbers (21) even if only slightly worn.
Perform the steps in reverse order to put the parts back in place.
6.2.4 Replacing the piston (30) and pad (31)
Loosen the screws (18) that secure the cover on the distributor (19).
Take off the stainless steel plate (20), paying careful attention to the special seals.
Remove the distributor plugs (33) and take out the piston (30).

6.2.5 Disassembling the rake (2)

Perform the steps in the order given below:
Take off the guard (11) for the links.
With the tool blocked in the clamp, pry with a screw driver to remove the spring (7) and link (6), loosen the self-locking
nut (3) and take out the pin (5).
Put the guard (11) back on.

6.2.6 Replacing the teeth

The damaged teeth have to be removed from their seat (38):
Separate the small protrusions (41), locking the tooth in its seat, by means of a screwdriver (see picture E)
Remove the damaged tooth following the arrow direction
Put the new tooth into its seat till the small locking protrusions (41) come out (picture F)
WARNING!
Never operate the tool when the guard (11) that protects the links is not in place.
Check wear and tear of the seals (29) and pad (31) and replace them even if only slightly worn.
Perform the steps in reverse order to put the parts back in place.

- DISMANTLING THE MACHINE WHEN NO LONGER USED

7.1 General
At the end of its working life, the tool has to be dismantled.
The tool components shall be divided in order to dispose of them according to the materials they are made of (batteries, metal,
plastic, etc) and in compliance with the regulations in force in the country where the tool was used.
