Using on batteries+
Insert eight size D (R20) batteries with the 0 and 0 marks
properly aligned.
Replace the batteries when the function indicators become dim,
tape speed slows down, volume decreases or sound is distorted
during operation.

Make sure that the power is off before inserting batteries.
. Before using on batteries, disconnect the AC cord from the AC
inlet.
Note on the batteries
Make sure that the o and @ marks are correctly aligned.
Do not mix different types of batteries or old batteries with new
ones.
Never recharge the batteries, apply heat to them or take them
apart.
When not using the batteries, remove them to prevent needless
battery wear.
If liquid leaks from the batteries, wipe thoroughly to remove,

To turn on the power
Press one of the function buttons (TAPE, TUNER, AUX, CD).
Playback of the inserted disc(s) starts or the previously tuned
station is received (Direct Play Function).
The POWER button of the main unit or the remote control is also
available.
When the power is turned on, tthe selected function indicator lights
up.

To turn off the power
Press the POWER button.
Note
When using on the batteries, you cannot turn the power on with
the remote control.

The AC inlet of this set maybe connected only with the attached
AC power cord or one recommended by Aiwa Co., LTD. Use with
others may result in the risk of fire or damage of the AC inlet.
