OPEN
LISTENING TO A COMPACT DISC
You can place two discs on the DISC 1 and DISC 2 compartment
and play them consecutively.

Press the CD button.
The CD indicator lights up.
Press
the
OPEN
button
to open
the
disc
compartment.
Place the disc(s) with the label side up@ and close
the disc compartment
@.
You can also load a smaller 3-inch (8 cm) disc.

Note that only the first 16 tracks are displayed even if the
disc contains 17 tracks or more.
Press the
PRESET/CDl/CD2
button to start CD
play.
When two discs are inserted, press the
PRESET/CDl /CD2
button once to select DISC1 and twice to select DISC2. You
can also select a disc by pressing the DISCI or DISC2 button
on the remote control while pressing the SHIFT button.

CD play automatically stops after the last track on DISC2 is
played.
After listening, press the POWER button to turn off the power.
Basic operation
Press the following buttons.
To stop

To pause

To resume play, press the button again.
To display the remaining time of the disc+
Press the REMAIN button while pressing the SHIFT button during
CD play.
The remaining time of the disc is displayed.+@
To display the elapsed time of the track, press the button again.

button to stop play before opening the disc
compartment.
Do not place more than one disc in each disc compartment at
the same time.
If the video image of a nearby television is distorted or noise is
heard from a radio during CD play, move the unit further away
from the affected television or radio.
