SECTION 5: QUICK START

5.1.3.5 Step 5:- Basic Tuning

The next step is to set the control mode. In order to check that the drive is wired correctly, Moog recommends that the
drive is placed in Velocity Mode with a function generator reference (Step 2) to cause slow backward and forward
movement. (Note however that if the axis is connected to a vertically mounted load or has a offset load torque, then this
option should not be used.).
In order to place the drive in Velocity Mode, left click on the Velocity button in the Mode menu.
Note that the T200
default values for Velocity Loop Gain and Integral Time Constant should be sufficient to turn the motor.
Note that tuning is described in detail in Section 6.6.

Click the Update Button to activate the settings. Click Exit to leave the dialog box.
