Table 4-1: Troubleshooting Guide
Problem
No LEDs illuminate on
the front panel of the
DCIB.
Green LED does not
illuminate on the front
panel of the DCIB.
When External Power
Supply is connected to
PWR1 or PWR2, LOW
(Red) LED illuminates.
When External Power
Supply is connected to
PWR1 or PWR2, HIGH
(Red) LED Illuminates.
2. Cleaning
Clean the exterior metallic surfaces of the DC Interface Box with water
and a clean, lint-free cloth. Clean external cable surfaces with alcohol,
using a clean, lint-free cloth.
Power-down all equipment before cleaning.
Do not expose connectors, LEDs, or switches to alcohol or water.
Cause
No electrical power.
No connection to the
Controller Card in the
user's PC.
External Power Supply
not connected proper-
ly to PWR1 or PWR2
on the front panel of
the DCIB.
Low power is being
received from the
External Power Supply
(less than 12 volts).
High power is being
received from the
External Power Supply
(more than 19 volts).
WARNING
CAUTION
Corrective Action
Use a tester or other
device (Lamp, etc.) to
verify that power is
present in the outlet.
Contact an electrician
if not.
Cable/Connectors not
plugged in properly, or
there may be defective
pins in the connectors.
Replace
Cable/Connector
Assembly, if defective.
Re-connect External
Power Supply. If defec-
tive, replace the power
supply.
Verify connection to
PWR1 or PWR2. If
defective, replace the
power supply.
Verify connection to
PWR1 or PWR2. If
defective, replace the
power supply.
