Power Up
To get your CoreBuilder system powered up and
ready to operate, follow the steps in this section.
To view possible error messages while the system is
running power-up diagnostics, connect a terminal,
workstation, or PC with terminal emulation software
to the system's terminal serial port.

To protect the system from dust and foreign objects

and to ensure proper system cooling, verify that
each unused slot in the chassis is covered with a
blank faceplate.

Be sure that the system's power switch is off, and

then plug the power cord into the system. See
Figure 5-1

CAUTION: To prevent a possible fire hazard, be sure
that the power cord is fully seated.
Plug the other end of the power cable into a

power outlet.
Turn on the system by setting the power switch to

the On ("|") position.
