This Switch 4007 Getting Started Guide provides an
overview of your Switch 4007 and its components,
describes the power management subsystem,
provides information about what occurs when you
start up your switch, explains how to use the online
manuals on CD-ROM, and lists important safety and
preinstallation information.
This guide is intended for the system or network
administrator who is responsible for installing and
managing the network hardware. It assumes a
working knowledge of local area network (LAN)
operations, but it does not assume prior knowledge
of Switch 4007 high-performance networking
equipment.
If release notes are shipped with your product and
the information there differs from the information
in this guide, follow the instructions in the release
notes.
