The values displayed in the on-board com‐
puter may deviate from those of the tire
pressure gauge as they refer to sea level. At
high elevations, the tire pressure value indi‐
cated by a pressure gauge are higher than
those shown by the on-board computer. In
this case, do not reduce the tire pressure.
Restarting the tire pressure monitoring sys‐
tem
Requirements:
The recommended tire pressure is correctly

set for the respective operating status on all
of the wheels (
page 355).

Restart the tire pressure monitoring system in
the following situations:
The tire pressure has changed.

The wheels or tires have been changed or
R
newly installed.

Current warning messages are deleted and
the yellow h warning lamp goes out.
After you have been driving for a few
minutes, the system checks whether the cur‐
rent tire pressures are within the specified
range. The current tire pressures are then
accepted as reference values and monitored.
