Noise Level Sensor
Installation Instruction
The E-NLS noise level sensor that can be used to detect sounds and report occurrences through the user interface of an E-2D,-5D or -
16D Enterprise Environment Monitoring System (SYSTEM). Connect the sensor to an available RJ45 Sensor port on a SYSTEM and
configure the SYSTEM to report and send alerts when noise levels exceed configurable parameters.
Installation
1.
Mount the E-NLS where a measurement of sound levels is desired.
the mounting slot is against the mounting surface, and for best results, mount the
E-NLS against a wall.
2.
Plug a CAT5 patch cable, 18-24AWG up to 1000 feet in length, between the RJ45 port on the E-NLS and an available RJ45
Sensor port on the SYSTEM.
3.
Go to the Summary Page (under Monitoring) in the web interface.
4.
Click on the Noise Level Sensor or click on "View" for that sensor.
