2.1 Select the channel

Users can configure HDG2000B to output basic waveform from a single channel or from dual
channels at the same time. Please select the desired channel before configuring waveform
parameters. At start-up, CH1 is selected by default. Press CH1/CH2 button at the front panel and
the corresponding area in the user interface is illuminated. At this point, users can configure the
waveform and parameters of the channel selected.
Note: CH1 and CH2 cannot be selected at the same time. Users can first select CH1 and then
select CH2 after configuring the waveform and parameters of CH1.

2.2 Setting the parameter

2.2.1 Select the Basic Waveform

HDG2000B can output 5 kinds of basic waveforms including Sine, Square, Ramp, Pulse and
Noise. At start-up, Sine is selected by default.
Press the corresponding button for each waveform at the front panel, and the backlight of the
button turns on. The waveform type and the parameter setting menu are displayed on the right of
the user interface.

2.2.2 Set the Frequency

Press Frequency/Period softkey to highlight "Frequency". At this point, use the numeric
keyboard to input the frequency value and select the desired unit from the pop-up unit menu or
use the direction keys and knob to modify the current value.
1. For the input method of frequency value, refer to the introduction in
"Parameter Setting
Method".
2. The frequency units available are MHz, KHz, Hz and mHz.
3. Press this softkey again to switch to period setting. At this point, "Period" is highlighted.
4. The period units available are sec, msec, μsec and nsec.
For different instrument models and different waveforms, the setting ranges of frequency are
different. For detailed information, please refer to "Frequency Characteristics" in "Specifications".
The default frequency is 1 KHz.
The frequency displayed on the screen is the default value or the frequency previously set. When
the instrument function is changed, if this frequency is valid under the new function, the
