Cause?

Frother dirty or calcified
►
Steam/hot water pipe dirty, blocked or calcified
►
Magnetic valve (function switch) blocked, calcified
►
High degree of condensate in steam
►
Frother dirty or calcified
►
Frother assembled incorrectly
►
Milk is not at refrigerator temperature
►
Milk has excessively high fat content
►
Heater calcified (temperature drop)
Remedial action
►
Dismantle frother, clean carefully or descale
►
Clean or descale steam/hot water pipe
►
Replace magnetic valve and descale
►
Before frothing, draw steam for several
seconds
►
Dismantle frother, clean carefully or descale
►
Assemble correctly and ensure all parts are
fitted securely without gaps
►
Use only cold milk which is at refrigerator
temperature
►
Use only long-life milk with a fat content of
1.5%
►
