Message
"MANUAL" will flash on the steam
LCD display.
"Heating" is shown on the LCD dis-
play.
"FILL TANK" is shown on the LCD
display.
"CLEAN ME!" is shown on the LCD
display.
"Change Filter" is shown on the LCD
display.
"Overheat Please wait" is shown on
the LCD display.
"Lock Hopper" is shown on the LCD
display.
"bUSY" is shown on the LCD display.
Reason
The machine will not reach operating
temperature (standby mode), if the
steam lever is in the MANUAL position.
Indicates when the machine is hea-
ting up, or if the temperature drops
during use.
The machine will detect a low water
level. The machine will not be able to
make coffee or hot water while the
water tank is empty.
The machine indicates that 200 extrac-
tions have been carried out since the
last cleaning cycle. The cleaning cycle
cleans the shower screen and back-
flushes the group head.
Indicates when the water filter in the
water tank needs to be replaced. The
regularity of this alert is determined
by the selected water hardness setting
(Hrd1-Hrd5).
Indicates if the grinder is used exces-
sively and needs time to cool. The
auto grind, dose & tamp function
cannot be used during this time and
3 beeps will sound, if you attempt to
activate it.
Indicates if the bean hopper has not
been properly inserted and locked into
position. The auto grind, dose & tamp
function cannot be used and 3 beeps
will sound, if you attempt to activate.
The Espresso Machine is still heating.

What to Do
Lower the steam lever to the horizon-
tal OFF position. Steam operation is
ready, when the SELECT dial illumi-
nates.
Just wait.
Fill water tank with cold fresh water.

Change the water filter according to
the instructions in section ›Insert or
Change the Water Filter‹. For informa-

functions, while the Espresso Machine
