Service safety aspects

 All operations described in this manual, such as installation,
commissioning, part replacement and repair work, are to be carried
out only by trained and authorized technicians who have been
certified by Arsalis. Customers must not perform these kinds of
tasks.

All service operations are performed with the mains plug
disconnected.
 Lifting equipment (e.g. jack, crane) and transportation equipment
(e.g. wheel boards, trolleys) shall be rated for at least 270 kg.
 Unless explicitly required, the treadmill motor compartment cover
shall be closed when the mains plug is connected.
 Only trained and authorized personnel shall be close to the parts
moved or elevated.
 Mechanical shocks (e.g. accidental contact with the part, drop of
metallic tool on the part, drop of part to the floor) shall be avoided to
the treadmill supports, especially on the load cells and U-supports
before they are mounted to the treadmill.
 Mechanical shocks (e.g. accidental contact with the part, drop of
metallic tool on the part, drop of part to the floor) shall be avoided to
the whole treadmill and locomotion surface once the treadmill is
mounted on the treadmill supports.

4. How to use this manual

The layout of the checklists in appendix to this manual is such that they provide a
template for the service report. Each time a service described in this manual is
performed a report shall be produced by filing in the corresponding checklist in
appendix to this manual. The report shall be used during the test and can be filled in
with a black pen. Annexes can be added in handwritten or typed version.

5. Installation and commissioning

The gaitway-3D installation must be performed in a clean environment. The
installation of the system can be done in multiple sessions in order to allow the
various components to be pre-assembled as needed and complete the installation
process.
An overview of the installation process flow is given below.
