Appendix B: ASBX/40 Module
'^' - Set Requested Pressure (5EH, 94D)
This command changes the requested pressure in the TMC 188/40-TA. The target pressure
will ramp up to the requested pressure at the rate specified by PRESSURE RAMP.
'_' - Set Pressure Low (5FH, 95D)
The pressure low parameter specifies the value at which the module changes from pressure
control back to position control.

ASBX/40 SETUP

The analog inputs on the ASBX/40 are configured by the factory to the user‟s specifications prior to
shipment. The only user setup required is the installation of the mode selection jumpers. Each axis
has a pair of pins on header P4, which when jumpered together tell the TMC 188/40-TA to operate
that axis in position mode (with analog position signals). The jumper is removed to operate an axis in
pressure mode. When the jumper is installed the analog counts are shown in the DCSMON COUNTS
field and PRESSURE COUNTS are zero. The figure below shows the location of the jumpers:
