Troubleshooting
Error
WS0-GETH functioned
correctly after configuration, but
suddenly no longer supplies
data.

WS0-GETH is operated in slave
mode, the IP address is assigned
from a DHCP server. After the WS0-
GETH or the DHCP server has been
restarted, a different IP address that

is unknown to the programmable
controller has been assigned to the
WS0-GETH.
WS0-GETH is not plugged properly
into the other MELSEC-WS module.
Module connection plug is soiled or
damaged.
Other MELSEC-WS module has
internal critical error.
Ethernet communication with the
WS0-GETH is under excessive load.
WS0-GETH internal device error
Cause
Either assign a fixed IP address to the WS0-
GETH, or reserve a fixed IP address for the
WS0-GETH in the DHCP server (manual
assignment by means of the MAC address of
the WS0-GETH).
Plug the WS0-GETH in correctly.
Clean the connecting socket/plug.
Repower the safety controller.
Check the error MELSEC-WS module and
remove the error cause.
Check the Ethernet line status. If a load is
excessively placed to the line, reduce the load
using a device such as a router.
Switch off the power supply of the safety
controller and switch it on again.
Check if the WS0-GETH is mounted in correct
position.
Check the diagnostics messages with the
Setting and Monitoring Tool.
If the error remains, replace the Ethernet
interface module.
