Problem
The WMS WebControl is no longer recog-
nised by the browser.
The WMS WebControl is not found by the
mobile device being used and the status
LED on the WMS WebControl flashes red.
The status LED does not light up.
The green LED on the RJ45 socket for the
LAN cable is not lit.
You are not able to add an additional room;
a plus does not appear next to "Room".
For the switching times, a question mark
appears for Monday, for example.
You cannot integrate the WebControl into
your existing WMS network. This means that
you can create products, but they cannot be
adopted with "Adopt L" (see Chapter 5.3 on
page 17); "Adopt L" is greyed out.
The WMS WebControl cannot be found via
the app.
You are in your WMS WebControl app. The
error message "No connection to WebCon-
trol" appears.
The WMS WebControl cannot be operated
externally via the Internet.
When Internet Explorer is used, the page is
not displayed correctly (rooms and channels
are shown on top of one another and not
side-by-side, for example).

Possible cause
A power failure occurred and
DHCP is set to "ON". Therefore, a new IP
address was automatically assigned in the
router. The WMS WebControl can no longer
be reached on the old address.
DHCP is set to "OFF", i.e. there is no auto-
matic assignment of the IP address.
The power supply of the WMS WebControl
has been interrupted.
There is a problem with the connection
between the RJ45 socket and the router
connection (e.g. line problem, the connector
is not properly plugged in).
The capacity is full; you have already creat-
ed 20 rooms (see
on page 17).
The value set at this position is not identical
for the selected days. (e.g. you selected
Monday to Friday. You entered the position
value 50% for Wednesday and 30% for the
other days.)
► The WebControl has already been regis-
tered with (another) WMS network.
► A channel must be assigned to each
room.
► The WMS Hand-held transmitter/WAREMA
Central transmitter has no direct radio
connection to the WMS WebControl
The mobile device (smartphone, etc.) is not
located in the WLAN network of your router.
► The WLAN connection between the app
and the WMS WebControl is not stable.
► The range of the WLAN network was en-
larged with several routers and the end
device (WMS WebControl) is alternating
between the routers.
The WMS WebControl is only intended for
use in your own WLAN network.
Internet Explorer is using the wrong view
(compatibility view).

Remedy
Enter the new IP address (from the client
table of your router, see Chapter 4.4 on
page 12).
If you would like to prevent this from hap-
pening in the future, set DHCP to "OFF" as
described in Chapter 9 on page 36.
Check the network connection.
If you are using an SD card, check whether
DHCP is set to "ON" or "OFF" in the saved
IP information. Set DHCP to "ON" if neces-
sary (see 9 on page 36).
If you are operating the system using the
app, the IP address is displayed on the
"System" tab. You can then enter this num-
ber in the menu line of the browser
(e.g.: http://192.....).
TIP: Save this address in the browser as a
bookmark.
Check the power plug connection.
Check the power supply on the router and
check the connection between the router
and the RJ45 socket.
Delete unnecessary rooms to make space
for new rooms.
This is not an error. The program is showing
you that you have defined different values.
Reset the device back to the factory status
(see Chapter 8.3 on page 35) and inte-
grate it into the network again.
Create a new channel for the new room.
Move the WMS Hand-held transmitter/WMS
Central transmitter within the radio reception
range of the WMS WebControl.
Before opening the app, check whether your
router is switched on and the WLAN is ac-
tive. If not, log into the WLAN network.
Create a stable WLAN connection.
Operate the WMS WebControl in your own
WLAN network from home.
Download the current browser.
