CONNECTING INSTALLATION TOOL TO LAN PORT
The IS Tool application can communicate to the OfficeServ 7100 system via the LAN or
MODEM connection. The Installation Tool can connect to the MP10 via LAN connection
using a customer provided LAN switch or using the 4SWM module as shown in
7.20.
• Set up the MP10 LAN parameters in MMC 830.
• If an MP10 is behind a firewall and the IS Tool is outside the firewall, ports 5090,
5003 must be open to the private IP address of the MP10.
Detail procedures for each of the steps above are as follows:
SETTING NETWORK PARAMETERS THROUGH MMC 830
Set the network parameters of the system. Contact the network manager when setting
values for the network parameters.
1) Set the IP address of the system.
