Cushion Assembly Replacement
(also applies to upright, back shells, and seat shell replacement)

10.
Remove E-Clips from grooves of the pivot pins then remove
the pivot pins on either side of chair
control using screw driver or punch and mallet.
11.
Remove chair control, column, base assembly from top
plate/stretcher assembly.
12.
Slide the stretcher assembly to its full forward position (if
applicable) and remove the seat attachment
screws.
13.
Remove the stretcher assembly by sliding it back out of the
seat attachment bosses.
14.
Remove the outer seat shell from the upholstered seat shell
by removing the 7 attachment screws.
15.
Install the 7 attachment screws to attach the outer shell to
the upholstered seat.
16.
Re-install the stretcher assembly by sliding it into the seat
attachment bosses.
17.
Re-install the seat attachment screws. IMPORTANT - SET
TORQUE OF SCREWS TO 70-100 IN/LBS.
18.
Install chair control/column/base assembly by inserting front
flange of chair control housing into the plastic
bumper/slide bearing at front of top stretcher assembly. Then
install the Synchro Pivot pins on both sides
of chair control using small hammer or mallet. Next install E-Clips
into the grooves of the pivot pins.
19.
Install the upright and back assembly. by tapping the upright
bracket into the up right receptacle until
holes are aligned. Then install the upright screws.
IMPORTANT - SET TORQUE OF SCREWS TO 240-300 IN/LBS.
20.
Re-install arms if chair has arms, per instructions on page 5.
