3.1.2.3. Assigning Strings to Coil Variables

iKAN series devices provide a string mapping function that allows the value of a coil variable to be
mapped in order to make the coil value more meaningful when reading the message. The text
mapping function allows a maximum of 10 Unicode characters or 30 ASCII characters to be entered
to represent a value of 0 or 1.
For more detailed information about how to increase the number of decimal places for the value
of a float-type variable, refer to Section "4.3.3. Displaying the Value of a Coil Variable using
Replacement Text".
