Derating characteristics
For SINAMICS, the rated data is only applicable for a specified range. Outside this range,
certain performance data are restricted. For SINAMICS systems there are constraints
regarding the ambient temperature, pulse frequency and installation altitude, for example.
The following derating characteristics apply for the S120M:

The full torque is output in the range between -15 ℃ and +40 ℃.
For temperatures between +40 °C and +55 °C, the static torque must be reduced according
to the diagram above. Derating must be moved on the basis of the static torque in the form
of a parallel movement of the torque characteristic (see the schematic diagram below).
