INTRODUCTION Thank you for purchasing this CLARKE Bore Hole Pump, which is designed for use in a domestic environment only. Please read this manual thoroughly, before attempting to operate this product, and carefully follow all instructions given. It is vitally important that ALL precautions are taken, as specified, which will not only provide protection for yourself and that of others around you, but will also ensure that the Battery Charger will give you long and satisfactory service.
Any damage should be properly repaired or the part replaced. If in any doubt DO NOT use the pump. Consult your local CLARKE dealer. ALWAYS keep children away. All visitors should be kept at a safe distance from the work area, especially whilst operating the pump.

NEVER operate the pump when under the influence of drugs, alcohol or any medication. NEVER leave the pump running unattended. Turn power OFF. Do not leave the pump until it comes to a complete stop. DO NOT use the pump if the electrical cable, plug or motor is in poor condition.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS WARNING! READ THESE ELECTRICAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS THOROUGHLY BEFORE CONNECTING THE PRODUCT TO THE MAINS SUPPLY. Connect the mains lead to a standard, 230 Volt (50Hz) electrical supply through an approved 13 amp BS 1363 plug, or a suitably fused isolator switch. If the plug has to be changed because it is not suitable for your socket, or because of damage, it must be removed and a replacement fitted, following the wiring instructions shown below.
SETUP AND OPERATION This bore hole pump is designed to pump soft water from bore holes, wells, underground springs or storage tanks to supply single sprinkler or irrigation systems. The pump is watertight and must be submerged in water (max depth 15m).
The pump is equipped with a thermal-amperometric motor protector. In case of overload, the motor protector shuts down the pump automatically. When the motor has cooled the pump starts up again automatically. If the motor protector steps in, it is absolutely necessary to locate and eliminate the cause of the malfunction.
TROUBLESHOOTING PROBLEM: The pumps motor does not start or stops suddenly after a few seconds. Cause Solution No power supply. Check the electrical connections. The thermal-amperometric motor Unplug the pump and clean it. Check protector has deactivated the pump the water temperature (max 35°C). due to overload.
