GENERAL SAFETY

Warnings for the safety of individuals and
things.
Please pay careful attention to the following
signs and indications.
DANGER: Electrical Shock Risk. Warns
that failure to follow directions may
cause electric shock.
DANGER: Warns that failure to follow
directions could create serious risks to
persons and things.
WARNING: Warns that failure to follow
directions could damage the pump or
installation.
WARNING: Before installing this pump read
this manual carefully. Any damages caused
by failure to observe any directions in this
manual will not be covered by the warranty.
Ch. 1 - Features
This pump is designed to drain water from
basements, tanks, window wells, flat roofs,
and cisterns. It is oil filled, sealed, needs no
lubrication, and has automatic reset thermal
protection.
Ch. 2 - Limitations
220-240V, 50 Hz.
Continuous duty if motor is submerged

Discharge 1-1/4" BSPT
DANGER: Risk of fire or explosion. Do
not use in explosive atmospheres. Pump
water only with this pump.
Ch. 3 - General Information
See "Troubleshooting" chart if you have
problems with this pump. For more
information see your dealer.
DANGER: Risk of electric shock.
Can shock, burn, or kill. Read
electrical safety instructions below:
1A. Disconnect the power before servicing.
1B. This pump is for use only on 230 Volt, 50
Hz, 1 Phase electrical service. It is
equipped with a 3-conductor cord and 3-
prong, grounding type plug. Do not
modify the cord or plug. Plug the pump
into a properly grounded, grounding
outlet only; if the outlet is not a
grounding outlet, replace it.
1C. All wiring incidental to this pump must
be installed in accordance with the codes
and ordinances which apply.
1D. If the pump fails and is standing in the
middle of a wet area or puddle, do not
walk in the wet area until all power has
been turned off. If you must walk or stand
in the water to reach the power switch,
call the electric company to shut off
service to the house, or call your local
fire department for instructions.
1E. If your hands are wet or you are standing
in water or on a wet surface, do not
handle the pump or change fuses.
1F. Protect the electrical cord from cuts, heat,
oils, chemicals, and kinks. Replace or
repair a damaged cord immediately.
2. Know the pump application, limitations,
and potential hazards.
3. Do not use in water where fish are
present.
4. Be sure that the discharge line is fastened
securely so that it cannot whip when the
pump starts.
5. Make sure all hoses and connections are
secure and in good condition before
starting the pump.
6. Wear safety glasses when working on the
pump.
7. Keep work area clean, uncluttered, and
properly lighted.
8. Keep visitors at a safe distance from the
work area.
9. Make the workshop child-proof.
NOTICE: This unit is not designed for
applications involving salt water or brine! Use
with salt water or brine will void warranty.
