Safety READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE STARTING INSTALLATION General Safety Information Electrically powered condensate pumps normally give many years of trouble-free service when correctly installed, maintained, and used. However, unusual cir- cumstances (interruption of power to the pump, algae/debris in the reservoir, electrical or mechanical fail- ure in the pump, etc.), may prevent your pump from functioning normally. -

Installation Fire and explosion hazard. Do not use this pump to pump flammable or explosive liquids. Use pump only with liquids compatible with pump component materials. Do not use pump in explosive atmospheres. Risk of flooding. If for any reason property damage or personal injury can result from an inoperative or leaking pump, an auxiliary switch backup system and/or an alarm should be installed with pump. - Page 4 Installation Plug pump into a 115-volt outlet that carries power that will not be interrupted. Do not connect pump to a fan or limit control circuit or the like. Some Models include an auxiliary safety switch. Connect switch as explained in "Safety Switch". Hazardous voltage.

With installation No. 2 (“Safety Switch Sounds Alarm”), the alarm is activated when the water level in the reservoir is within about 1/2" of the top of the reservoir. However, the furnace/AC unit will continue to pro- duce condensate because the alarm will not shut it down. -
