Remove the EC IP.
IMPORTANT
When performing this task before the Prime step, clean the
rectangular glass region on both sides of the EC IP with 70% isopropyl alcohol (IPA)
and with a lint-free wiper without touching the temperature and humidity sensor. See
Figure 4
on
page
8.

Place the IFC into the tray with the barcode facing toward you.

Place the EC IP on top of the IFC and tap OK. See

On the Place the IFC in the tray screen, tap Read Barcode. You see the Start or
Initialize button, depending on the step in the workflow.

Tap Start or Initialize.
Unloading the IFC and EC IP from Polaris

When it is time to remove the IFC from the Polaris system, Open appears. Tap Open.

Remove the EC IP from the top of the IFC.

Remove the IFC from the tray.

When you are prompted to wipe the thermal chuck and the underside of the IFC with
an IPA-moistened, lint-free cloth, do so without inverting the IFC.

When you see the screen Remove IFC to clean the system, be certain that the IFC is
not on the instrument.

Place the ECIP in the tray and tap Clean.
Inspect the tray and the EC IP and use a lint-free cloth to wipe off any liquid residue
that might appear during the cleaning step.
