2. Warm the gear housing some more if
needed.
3. Fit the input shaft.
4. Make sure the ball bearings touch bot-
tom in their positions.

Input shaft
The input shaft should be fi tted after the
output shaft has been fi tted.
1. Fit the ball bearings on the axle.
Do not forget the circlip holding the ball
bearings in place.
2. Make sure the gear housing is still hot
enough (about 110°C) and the output
shaft has been fi tted.
3. Lift the input shaft in place using a suit-
able pair of pliers or a suitable sleeve.
4. Make sure the ball bearings touch bot-
tom in their positions.
5. Fit the circlip for the ball bearing on the
output shaft.
6. Fit the sealing ring with the scraping
edge turned inwards.
Use a suitable mandrel so the ring is
pressed straight into the seat without
turning.
7. Fit the circlip (B) for the ball bearing on
the input shaft.
8. Pour grease into the gear through the
fi ller plug (C) until it comes out through
the vent (D).
9. Assemble cutting attachment and spray
guards in the reverse order as set out
for dismantling.
