Fuel system
Dismantle the main jet (A) and the plug
(B).
Assembling the carburettor
Blow the carburettor housing clean.
Check the throttle and throttle shaft and
replace where necessary.
Fit a new plug.
Fit a new main jet.
Attach the various parts of the measuring
unit in the reverse order as set out for
dismantling.
Check that the lever arm is positioned at
the same level as the lugs on the carbu-
rettor housing.
Pull out the locking plug (A) above the jet
needles using special tool 504 62 29-01.
The plugs cannot be dismantled if there is
no pin on the plug in the middle of the slot
(B) in the carburettor housing.
Unscrew the jet needles.
NOTE!
Remember how the needles were
placed.
(E.g. the H needle a little more
pointed than the L-needle).

Press out the main jet (A) with a suitable
punch.
Remove the plug (B).
Carefully drill a small hole (Ø 2 mm) in the
plug and pry it up with a pointed object.
Assembling the carburettor
Blow all channels in the carburettor
compartment clean
Check the throttle and throttle shaft
and replace where necessary. If these
parts are worn this will cause idling
problems. Always replace the throttle
and throttle shaft at the same time.
Fit a new washer plug (A).
Use a suitable punch to get a comple-
tely tight seal.
Push in a new main jet (B).
Attach the various parts of the measuring
unit in the reverse order as set out for
dismantling.
Check that the lever arm is positioned at
the same level as the lugs on the carbu-
rettor housing.
Too high setting = too much fuel.
Too low setting = too little fuel.
