Adjust the carburettor jet screws as follows after making the
basic adjustment:
1. Run the engine warm for approx. 3.5 minutes. Adjust the idle
speed to 2,800 rpm where necessary using a T screw.
2. Turn the L needle anticlockwise to obtain a slightly "richer"
fuel-air mix, stable idling and good acceleration.
3. Then turn the L needle clockwise to obtain maximum idle
speed.
4. Adjust the idle speed to 3,600 rpm using a T screw.
5. Then adjust the engine speed to 2,800 rpm by turning the L
needle anticlockwise.
6. Apply full throttle and notice whether the engine responds
quickly by accelerating.
The speed should be a minimum of 11,500 rpm. If the speed
is lower than this, adjust using the H needle.

ued dismantling.
2. Remove the 4 screws holding both
handle halves together.

3. Lift off the left (upper) handle half.
4. Push the front handle mounting (B)
forward so the right (lower) handle half
can also be lifted off the shaft.
5. Check the 4 vibration dampers (C) are
undamaged. Replace them if neces-
sary.
