Fuel system
5. Pump diaphragm (F).
6. Gasket (H).
7. Cover (I).
8. Hook in the connecting rod (J).
9. Air intake housing (K).
10. Sealing rings (M).
11. Connect the fuel hose and screw the
carburettor to the air fi lter holder.
5. Pump diaphragm (F). Make sure this is
aligned properly so the impulse chan-
nel (G) is open.
6. Gasket (H).
7. Position the cover (I) in place.
8. Hook the connecting rod (J) into the
lever arm on the throttle shaft of the air
intake housing and then into the lever
arm on the throttle shaft.
9. Position the air intake housing (K) and
make sure this lies fl at on the con-
tact surface of the carburettor body.
Tighten the screw (L).
The air intake housing consists of two
separate channels each with its own air
valve connected to the throttle valve via
a connecting rod. The valve increases
the air supply in proportion to the throttle
setting.
The role of the tensioning equipment is to
prevent unused fuel/air mix from passing
directly into the exhaust channel. This
will result in cleaner exhaust fumes and
greater fuel effi ciency.
10. Fit the sealing rings (M).
11. Connect the fuel hose and screw the
carburettor to the air fi lter holder.
12. Check the distance piece (A) and the
connection (B) for cracks. This may
cause starting problems and poor
idling characteristics.
Replace the parts if this is the case.
