the exact type required in the region where the
Succession Signaling Server is installed and used.
Be sure to replace the cord with the correct type.
In geographic regions that are susceptible to electrical storms, Nortel
Networks recommends that you plug the Succession Signaling Server into an
AC surge suppressor.
Procedure 3

Connecting and powering up the Succession Signaling Server

Connect the Succession Signaling Server to the TLAN subnet.
Insert the RJ-45 Category 5 (or better) TLAN Ethernet cable into the P2
(TLAN) port on the back of the Succession Signaling Server. The P2
(TLAN) port is the top one of the two Ethernet ports shown in Figure 12.

Connect the Succession Signaling Server to the ELAN subnet.
Insert the RJ-45 Category 5 (or better) ELAN Ethernet cable into the P1
(ELAN) port. The P1 (ELAN) port is the bottom one of the two Ethernet
ports shown in Figure 12.
