Reduce fracture

1.6 mm Kirschner Wire, trocar point,

150 mm

Reduce the fracture via indirect reduction maneuvers, traction

sutures, an elevator, or Schanz screws or Kirschner wires

used as joysticks.

If necessary, use Kirschner wires to hold the fragments tem-

porarily in place during insertion of the implant. Ensure that

the Kirschner wires do not block insertion of the nail.

Check the reduction under imaging.
