To replace the tailgate light bulbs
Complete operations only in the sequence given:

Remove the cover.

Remove the lamp holder.
Always take the checklist into account and take the necessary ac-
tions ⇒ p age 327.
Open the tailgate ⇒ p age 84.
Extract the cover carefully using the flat part of the screwdriver as a
⇒ f ig. 209
lever (⇒ f ig. 198) on the indent
Release the lamp holder connector by pulling on the red connector
block.
Press on the attachment tabs in the direction of the arrow
⇒ f ig. 210
and pull out the lamp holder.
Replace the faulty bulb by a new identical bulb.
Install the lamp holder. The attachment tabs should audibly click
into place.
Insert the cover. The cover should lock into place.
