• Permissible nozzle diameter: ≤ 150 mm (6 in).
For larger diameters the near range measuring capability may be reduced.
For nozzles ≥ DN300: →  33.
• Permissible nozzle height
For a larger height the near range measuring capability may be reduced.
Larger nozzle heights may be possible in special cases (see sections "Center rod" ).
• The end of the nozzle should be flush with the tank ceiling in order to avoid ringing effects.
With thermally insulated vessels the nozzle should also be insulated in order to prevent
condensate formation.
