3.4.5 Emptying the dirt collection vessel

The safety instructions from Chapter 3.3 apply.
The dirt collection vessel is opened via two hydraulic
cylinders. The tap for must be open for emptying.
• A high-level illing lap is loat-mounted in the dirt
collection vessel. This high-level illing lap serves to
increase the volume of the swept material. During
emptying of the dirt collection vessel, the high-level illing
lap swings away from the dumping area.
• Lift the Gigant sweeping machine.
No person must be present below the
ATTENTION
machine during emptying.
• Flip the control lever for the sweeping machine
hydraulics in the carrier vehicle. The direction of low
changes and the collector vessel opens.
• Close collector vessel by lipping back the previously
mentioned control lever in the carrier vehicle.
If the swept material is wet, it may be useful

to actuate the control lever briely several
times to facilitate emptying.

3.4.6 Open sweeping

The safety instructions from Chapter 3.3 apply.
• Lift the Gigant sweeping machine and keep it close to
the ground.
• Flip the respective control lever for the sweeping
machine hydraulics in the carrier vehicle. The direction
of low is changed. Fully open the dirt collection vessel.
• Lower the Gigant sweeping machine until all castor
wheels are contacting the ground and the sweeping
machine is standing parallel to the surface to be
cleaned.
• Close the intake hose to the hydraulic cylinder of the
collector vessel. The tap points to the centre of the
sweeping machine.
• Lock the opened collector vessel into place by twisting
the control lever; it then remains open.
