4. Device Management
Hover your mouse over the search button (magnifying glass). A list of KVM control unit device(s) on the same local area
network (LAN) will be shown:
Select the desired device or enter an IP address of a known device; enter a user name and password, and click "Save" to add
the device to the system.
Notes:
1. The entered user name and password will determine the access rights of the KVM over IP Console Station.
2. To gain full access rights of the KVM switch device, use the user name and password of a user with full access rights.
3. If you select the desired device by clicking the "Device Name" or "IP Address" sections, the displayed name will show the IPv4 address.
The IPv6 Address will be displayed when clicking the "IPv6 Address" section.
4. If a KVM over IP Switch is also added to NetDirector-AXS and has "Disable Other Authentication" configured in NetDirector-AXS, the KVM
over IP Console Station will not be able to access/control that switch.
Click "Reset" if you wish to reenter the information.
The system will attempt to connect to the device. If successful, the device will be listed in the device list.

4.1.4 Changing Connection Information

To change the access rights of a device connected to the KVM over IP Console Station, change to a user with the desired
access rights:
1. Select the device from the device list.
2. Edit the settings in the Device Information section:
3. Click "Save" to update the information.
4. Log out of the KVM over IP Console Station and log in again to see the updated settings/display/access rights.
