Ratio Monitor Cont.

Target Weight Ratio
Enter the Target weight ratio to be monitored. The
input field is based on X components of A to 1
component of B. For example 2.28 entered would
be 2.28:1 A:B.
Flow Meter Weight Ratio
Weight Ratio measured by the flow meters.
Measured Weight Ratio
Use this Input field only if measured weight ratio
varies from flow meter weight ratio.
Calibrate Weight Ratio Button
This feature is not necessary for proper machine
operation. In the event the measured weight ratio is
consistently different from the Flow Meter weight
ratio this button can be used to calculate a K factor.
The K factor is default to 1.00.
Calibrated Weight Ratio
K factor * Flow Meter Weight Ratio = Calibrated
Weight Ratio.
Tolerance %
Enter a weight ratio tolerance used for alarming and
machine shut down. Default value is 7%.
Upper limit
Calculated upper ratio limit before machine will shut
down. Target Ratio * Tolerance = Upper limit
Lower limit
Calculated lower ratio limit before machine will shut
down. Target Ratio * Tolerance = Upper limit
Calibrate Material total in Kilograms
This feature is not necessary for proper operation. It
is used to adjust for the difference between a
measured weight sample and the flow meter
measured weight. Press the Reset button and
perform the Ratio Check procedure located in this
manual. Press the Calibrate Kilograms Button. The
K Factors will change automatically. The K factor
range should be .9 – 1.1. If the values are different
repeat the calibration process. The default value is
1.0.

Ratio Monitor ON / OFF
Enable or Disable the Ratio Monitor shut down
feature using these buttons.
The machine will only fault and shut down
when the Ration Monitor is ON. To recover from a
ratio fault the Ratio Monitor must be turned OFF,
correct the ratio problem and turn Ratio Monitor ON
when system is ready for normal operation.
CAUTION
The Ratio Monitoring package does not guarantee
performance of the system. It is up to the user to
validate machine performance. The Ratio Monitor
option will shut down the machine in the event the
measured ratio is outside the upper and lower
limit. Ratio Check samples are recommended on
a regular basis to verify metering system
performance. See Ratio Check section in this
manual.
