Description
Automatic Retrain
When transmission problems occur, the INSYS Modem 336 LL 2D/4D 5.x Originate /
Answer executes a retrain procedure. After three unsuccessful retrain attempts, the
INSYS Modem 336 LL 2D/4D 5.x Originate / Answer will hang up.

Terminate remote configuration
The command AT*E terminates a remote configuration.
Loading the default factory settings
The INSYS Modem 336 LL 2D/4D 5.x Originate / Answer loads the default factory set-
ting from the internal, nonvolatile memory. This puts the INSYS Modem 336 LL 2D/4D
5.x Originate / Answer into a defined basic state. AT&F also overwrites a part of the S
registry.
The INSYS Modem 336 LL 2D/4D 5.x Originate / Answer has the following two defaults:
(AT&F0, AT&F1).
Declaration of the connection protocol speed (MNP 10)
AT*H<n>determines the speed that is used to exchange the declarations during the
MNP10 connection setup before the modems enter the MNP 10 mode.
Connection setup takes place with the highest possible speed. (default)

AT*H1
Connection setup takes place with 1,200 bps
AT*H2
Connection setup takes place with 4800 bps
Identification
The INSYS Modem 336 LL 2D/4D 5.x Originate / Answer sends an identification to the
PC, according to the following parameter:
Product code
ATI0
ATI1
Previously calculated EPROM checksum
ATI2
Calculation of the EPROM checksum and comparison with the previ-
ously calculated checksum stored in the EPROM. OK for correct com-
parison.
ATI3
Firmware version number in the EPROM
INSYS Modem 336 LL 2D/4D 5.x Originate / Answer Version number
ATI4
ATI5
Country code parameter (Germany = 006/Europe = 253)
ATI6
Version number and revision of the "data pump"
Manual query of the alarm input
Response
<Input 1>,<Input 2>
The response provides the values "1" for inactive (open) and "0" for active (connected
to ground).
