The DCD and OH LEDs will go out.
You will receive the response NO CARRIER.

Enter AT into your terminal program.
By means of the character string "AT", the INSYS Modem 336 LL 2D/4D 5.x
Originate / Answer will identify the baud rate at its serial interface.
The response will be OK.
If you don't receive the response OK, check the connection and check if the
DCD LED at the INSYS Modem 336 LL 2D/4D 5.x Originate / Answer is still lit.
If yes, repeat step 5.
The RX/TX LED lights up while you type.
If the RX/TX LED at the INSYS Modem 336 LL 2D/4D 5.x Originate / Answer
does not light up while you type AT and receive an OK, you may be connected
to another modem (e.g. with the modem integrated in the laptop or the PC).
In this case, check to which interface your INSYS Modem 336 LL 2D/4D 5.x
Originate / Answer is actually connected and repeat the test.
7.
Save the identified baud rate using the command AT&W.
The INSYS Modem 336 LL 2D/4D 5.x Originate / Answer connected to the
PC is now operational.
8.
Enter ATZ.
The response will be OK.
After a short time, you will receive the response CONNECT.
9.
Enter **** (four asterisks) into your terminal program.
To trigger the online configuration mode of the other INSYS Modem 336 LL
2D/4D 5.x Originate / Answer, do not enter anything for at least one sec-
ond after entering "****".
The INSYS Modem 336 LL 2D/4D 5.x Originate / Answer at the other end of
the line will respond with the password query for the remote configuration.
