SETUP

IMPORTANT: Remove and discard the protective
plastic sheet that covers the engine and any other
plastic or wrapping on the mower.

Delivery Checklist

Check that the following items have been supplied
correctly.

Engine Handbook
2.

Grass Bag Assembly

3.
Parts List
4.
Declaration of Conformity
If any items are missing, contact your supplying Hayter
dealer.
To prevent accidents cut off the long ribbon attached
to the grass bag and discard.

Assembling and Unfolding the Handle

WARNING: Assembling and unfolding the handle
improperly can damage the cables, causing an unsafe
operating condition.

Do not damage the cables when assembling and
unfolding the handle.
Ensure that the cables are routed to inside of the
handle.
If a cable is damaged, contact a Hayter Authorised
Service Dealer.
Unscrew the securing hand bolts suffi ciently to allow
the handle to pivot. Unfold the handle to the operating
position, then release. Tighten both hand bolts to
secure in position.

Grass Bag Assembly
Before fi rst use, assemble the grass bag and frame.
Slide the frame (1) into the grass bag (2), ensuring that
the handle is above the grass bag as shown. Attach
plastic clips (A) to the grass bag frame.

Raise the rear defl ector, lower the grass bag and hook
into position. Lower the defl ector to rest on the grass
bag.

Prevent Engine Damage

To prevent engine damage the engine is shipped
without oil or fuel. The engine must be fi lled with
the correct grade of oil and fuel before starting the
engine.
