2. Economy control voltage
9 Disconnect the economy control unit
coupler.
9 Connect the pocket tester (DC 20 V) as
shown.
Tester + lead → Yellow lead
Tester - lead → Blue/White lead

9 Start the engine.
9 Measure the economy control voltage.
Economy control voltage:
10–17 V (DC)

3. Economy control switch
9 Disconnect the economy control switch
connector.
9 Connect the pocket tester (W × 1) to the
economy control switch terminal.
9 Check the economy control switch conti-
nuity.
Tester + lead → Economy control switch
terminal
Tester - lead → Economy control switch
terminal
Economy control switch is on:
Continuity
Economy control switch is off:
No continuity
