3. Condenser
9 Connect the pocket tester.
9 Turn the pocket tester switch from the
"OFF" position to the "W × 1k" position.
CORRECT

1 The needle swings and returns back quickly.
2 The needle does not swing.
3 The needle does not return.

FAULTY

GENERATOR SYSTEM
Replace the condenser.
(Refer to "CONTROL PANEL" on 5-8)
WARNING
9 Discharge the old condenser by short-
ing the two terminals together.
9 Use an insulated screwdriver.
9 Do not touch either of the terminals or
the ground before the condenser is dis-
charged.
