4) Thread Take-up Spring Tension Adjustment
(1) Operating range of thread take-up spring
As shown in figure 36, if you loosen the screw① and turn the thread take-up spring stopper② clockwise, the operating
range of thread take-up spring would decrease. If you turn the thread take-up spring stopper② counterclockwise, the
operating range of thread take-up spring would increase. The standard operating range is 5~10mm.
(2) Thread take-up spring tension adjustment
As shown in figure 37, if you loosen the shaft screw① of thread tension control and turn it clockwise with the drive on the
thread tension control shaft groove, the tension of thread take-up spring would strengthen. If you turn it counterclockwise,
the tension would weaken. The standard tension of the thread take-up spring is 50~80g.

5) Operation of thread adjusting device
The main and supplementary thread adjusting devices①,
② are automatically in operation.
※ The tension of the main/sub thread tension control
device is cleared when lifting the thread trimmer or
presser foot and the sub thread tension control
device② is available to ON/OFF of the function
switch③.
