Descaling

In the course of daily use of the appliance, depending on the local water hardness,
limescale may build up inside the appliance components. In order to maintain the
appliance in top condition, and in order to be certain that every brewing process
yields the best results, the appliance should be descaled from time to time.
1. Use only appropriate tablets for coffee machines for cleaning and descaling.
2. During descaling, always strictly observe manufacturer's indications concerning
safety, found on the package of the agent.
WARNING!
If, accidentally, the descaling agent comes into contact with eyes or skin,
rinse them immediately with fresh water.
3. Always execute the descaling process in full; interrupting it may cause damage
to the appliance.
The entire descaling process lasts approx. 40 minutes.

If after a certain period of time, a certain
level of deposits is reached, the display
will start showing, alternately, the
following messages: 'Run descale' or
'Press rinse'.
4. In the program menu, select
'Maintenance'.

5. Select the 'Descale' option and
confirm with 'MENU / OK' button.
6. Press the 'MENU / OK' button again
to commence descaling.
