Cleaning
Cleaning the Thermal Pump Jug
Hard water may leave calcium deposits inside the thermal pump can. Coffee usually
colour the deposits and leave the brownish deposit. To remove these deposits,
follow the below indications:
– prepare a solution of hot water and descaling agent (art. No. 190065);
– open the lid of the thermal pump jug and remove the pump tube;
– fill the thermal pump jug with the prepared solution;
– re-insert the pump tube back into the thermal jug;
– leave the solution in the jug for 20 minutes;
– pour the solution out;
– rinse the thermal pump jug and the pump tube thoroughly with clean
water several times;
– wipe the outside of the thermal pump jug with a soft cloth at the end;
– after cleaning, leave the thermal pump jug open to dry completely.

Descaling

NOTE!
To reduce limescale deposits, it is recommended to use filtered water!
CAUTION!
Injury hazard!
Use safety gloves and goggles during descaling!
Depending on the water hardness level in the place of usage, limescale may be
deposited inside of the appliance's elements during the operation of the coffee
machine. In order to maintain the appliance in the best possible condition, and to be
certain that every brewing process yields the best results, the appliance should be
descaled regularly.
The coffee machine is equipped with the descale indicator light (red) which
activates after exceeding a certain level of limescale. When the descale indicator
light flashes, the device needs to be descaled, otherwise the proper operation and
quality of brewed coffee cannot be ensured.
If it is not possible to clean the coffee machine immediately, it is still possible to
brew several pots of coffee before descaling.
