Overview H3C SecPath PSR3000-54A is a AC-input and DC-output power module. It is hot swappable and provides a maximum output of 3000 The power module supports N+1 or N+N redundancy (see "Power module configuration"). It provides a self-protection mechanism against input undervoltage, input overvoltage, output overvoltage, output short circuit, output undercurrent, output overcurrent, and overtemperature conditions.

When two mains power inputs are provided, you can configure the power modules in N+N redundancy. N+N must be not greater than the total number of power module slots. When one mains power input is provided, you can configure the power modules in N+1 or N+N redundancy. N+1 or N+N must be not greater than the total number of power module slots.
Installing and removing the power module Installing the power module To avoid bodily injury and device damage, follow the procedures Figure 2 to install the power module. Figure 2 Power module installation procedure Before the installation, prepare an ESD wrist strap yourself.
Installing the power module CAUTION: • To install the power module in a slot to the left of the fan tray slots, orient the power module with the latch above the handle. • To install the power module in a slot to the right of the fan tray slots, orient the power module with the latch below the handle.

Figure 3 Removing the filler panel Unpack the power module. Correctly orient the power module. Holding the power module handle with one hand and supporting the power module bottom with the other, slide the power module along the guide rails into the slot until the latch on the power module clicks into place.
The power module has a disorientation rejection design. If the power module is oriented incorrectly, you cannot install the power module into the slot. If you encounter a hard resistance while inserting the power module, pull out the power module, reorient it, and then insert it again.
The PSR3000-54A power module is provided with a 16 A AC power cord which has a C19 straight entry connector, as shown in Figure You can also use a 16 A AC power cord with a C19 angled connector. To connect the power cord: Plug the AC power cord connector into the AC input receptacle of the power module.
Figure 6 Power module removal procedure Before you remove a power module, prepare an ESD wrist strap yourself. Removing the power cord Turn off the circuit breaker of the power cord. Wear an ESD wrist strap, and make sure the strap makes good skin contact and is correctly grounded.
